I find it very interesting that as an instructor, your only comment seems to be directed at the air sharing aspect of the video and nothing about how such an individual could end up being certified in the first place. I guess he must have done very well doing all his exercises kneeling down at the bottom wherever he ended up being certified.

"Yeah but... they're probably just.....but.."

I'm surprised to see so many divers trying to justify this video. After 20-odd pages debating exactly the same thing last month, I thought the consensus was that it was OK for buddies to do it at the start of the dive. Everyone agreed that guides should not.

Yet when there is a video of what is obviously a dive guide sharing air at the end of the dive to a completely out of control diver with an empty/ close to empty tank..... there is not enough evidence.

Actually maybe I'm not so surprised- it is an internet forum after all.

I don't quite understand what you're trying to infer with this.... My comment was directed at the air-sharing aspect because of the title of the thread. Let's read together:

... probably because that's already one of the most discussed topics on ScubaBoard ... there are literally hundreds of those threads on here ... all pretty much the same players saying the same thing. I know this to be the case, because I'm one of those players.

This discussion isn't about the inadequacies of dive training ... it's about the wisdom of air sharing to extend a dive, and when considering such an action would be appropriate. Let's not lose it in noise about a topic that's discussed endlessly in other threads ...
