I have flown with by Blacktip tech. But I need a new bag. Just for the tailpiece.
What I have now is an OLD Oakley bag. It is in sad shape. But it is the only thing that I have that it fits in and can fudge airline size limits. Packed in, wrapped with a wetsuit. It traveled fair. After the holidays, there is no life left in that bag. The only thing that has kept me from throwing it out is so I can use it as reference material.
I have a new Osprey Transporter 90, which is just about the same size overall. But I can't get the motor to fit no matter what. So I put the tube and nose piece in there along with a bunch of clothes and other gear.
I see a Pelican case referred to sometimes. Trying to stay to something lighter and more normal baggage looking. And not a unitasker either. Still need to use it as luggage and haul a bunch of other stuff as well. Already tickling the weight limits on each bag when I travel. So I am not really looking at Pelican cases, even though it does make some sense.
Just thought I would ask what others are using. See if any of it fits my needs as well. Otherwise it is back to the tape measure and reading size specs, hitting what few retail stores are still around that might have something that might work.
