I know this subject has been discussed over and over but I didn't see the answer to my particular question. I am heading to cook islands in a few months. We are planning to relax the first few days. Then we wanted to catch a 1 hour flight from Roratunga to Aitutaki for a few hours of diving and then catch a 1 hour flight that same day back to the main island. Is this within the realm of possibility?

They may exist but I haven't seen any authoratative sources that offer safe flying times within 12 hours of diving. One would think that unless your dives are extremely shallow there is a problem. And if the plane loses cabin pressure (rare but happens) you're toast. Don't risk it.

I have been on many flights, almost as Surface Intervals, but we essentially skimmed the waves at several hundred feet.

Then there is the additional factor of cabin pressurization... if you are willing to risk your life on that mechanical device.

What is the altitude that they maintain? Aitutaki Day Tour with Air Rarotonga - the Airline of the Cook Islands

Looks like the OP has not come back to check on answers since they posted.
Wonder if they are even still alive?
