I always follow the 24 hr rule for flying after multiple days of diving. However, does the same rule apply to seaplanes, which fly at a much lower altitude? On my next trip, I have the opportunity to take a seaplane over to a nearby island, but it would be 12-15 hrs after my last dive, so I'm a little wary. I couldn't find any info on the DAN website that would apply to this situation.
Thanks!

If the seaplane stays below 500 feet (that's what we used to do) then there's no issue. If it flies higher (and they surely can) you should be completely familiar with altitude diving procedures.

12-15 hours should be fine though, for years I used the Group C / 12 hour rule (old US Navy Procedures without any issues.

Hi crab_girl,

The following NOAA table provides what you need to know:

Required Surface Interval Before Ascent to Altitude After Diving
http://www.ndc.noaa.gov/pdfs/AscentToAltitudeTable.pdf

The table apparently got a bit distorted when put on NOAA's website. The 10000 foot marker should be over the last column of numbers.
