I am thinking about driving from Houston over to the West end of Florida to go diving. What are the best places to go, dive operators, visibility, and water temperature in mid June?

Any help will be appreciated.

What kind of diving do you have in mind.

I Live in the West end of Florida pan handle, If I get the boat working today. I will take it to Marrianna to hit the springs their, if not The jetties at st andrews or Morison

Check with a dive shop called Diver's Den at (850) 234-8717 and ask for the owner, Debbie. They have a nice boat 35-40 ft. range that maxes out at approx. 17 divers, but never gets filled up.

There lots of artificial stuff, i.e. wrecks, bridge spans, culverts, etc. This time of year is the time to go. Viz is good and there plenty of marine life to see.
I'll be there myself next month.
Hope this helps. Oh, here's their website

Don't bother coming to pc beach within the next couple of weeks. The weather sucks and so does the vis. You can dive Vortex springs if you want to battle the all the open water classes but that's about the only descent place to dive right now.

I just got my Nitrox Certification at Dive Pros () Dive Pros over there. I was drawn over that way by the wrecks that are available to dive there. Unfortunately due to weather we ended up doing a couple beach dives instead of boat dives so I can't give you a report on what there is to see.
Here are a couple sites to read. They give some info on what you might see.

Hope this helps.....
