I have aquantance who keeps asking me and everyone under the sun what the laws are in florida reguarding divers catching lobsters. I know Rhode Island a permit is needed and if one is cought with bugs and no permit all their gear and even their car could be confiscated plus a large fine. I don't know about bug hunting regulations in Florida and would like to tell this guy something so he can stop asking. Any info would be appreceated.

In Florida one needs a salt water fishing license and a crawfish (lobster) stamp. There are different bag limits in different areas, and a size and berried female restriction. The law officers in Fl. do take infractions very seriously.
