I am going to Florida and would like to know if I should use Nitrox 36% or just regular air. The dive i`m going on is in Pompano Beach, it will be at the Nursery Reef and will be a two tank dive. the depth will be 30 feet. I will be renting the tanks and would like to know which one should I get. The cost to rent the tanks does not matter to me.

Just a quick question... are you certified in nitrox?

Even if you don't care about the cost, for a 30 foot dive nitrox isn't even worth the time it takes to analyze. Go with air.

It's pretty much personal preference. You'll hear arguments in favor of both on here based on each individuals personal opinion. At thirty feet and two dives their isn't much in the way of a medical benefit to nitrox. That being said if it was me I would dive nitrox. I always dive it. I'm pretty much in the same boat as @DogDiver. Where I live in Northeast Florida the cost of a nitrox fill compaired to an air fill is minimal, so I stick with what I'm use to and what I know(and what my computer is already set to). But in reality if it's not but a couple dollars more and you'd prefer to dive nitrox, then dive it. But if you don't care either way or the cost of nitrox is much higher then go with air.

30ft? air all the way unless nitrox is cheaper for whatever reason. The times it usually is are when you are paying by the cubic foot for nitrox and air is a flat fill rate when you aren't going to use the whole tank. If you're renting and it's flat fee? Go with whichever is cheaper

Renting - I would use air. My own tanks I would use nitrox just in case I do not use them both and the next trip is deeper. NDL is not an issue inless you fall asleep for several hours at depth.
