Hi all! Long time lurker, first time joiner. I live in the Fort Lauderdale area but dive all around Florida. I'm a beginner technical diver with ANDP, Extended Range, and Intro Cave (come next week) certifications. I also will be starting my JJ CCR journey with initial training around July, which I'm very excited about. I've been loving the wrecks here in Pampano and the Keys, and I'm looking forward to getting familiar with cave country. Always on the hunt for solid dive buddies, especially other woman tech divers. :)

Happy diving, ya'll.

Welcome (officially)! My partner and I dive Pompano a few times a year with Hydrotherapy charters. We'll be around for a couple of weeks at the end of July-early August. Lemme know if you want to dive with us.

Are you planning to start cave with cc or start OC? Steep learning in short time, what you are telling! Would be cool tomlive close to great caves, that makes it much easier. I have "only" man made mines to dive closeby. Vut my timeline is much longer to be able to dive real caves.

Welcome! We have a great tech community up here on the Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches.
June 10th, i'm holding a "Tech Tuesday" with Stuart Scuba diving Tech Playground in Riviera Beach. Playground is a big area of construction debris with lots of big sealife. Depth to 145fsw.
Maybe you'll join us!

Welcome, @seaspellsoul

Keep on putting energy and faith in your textbooks and training. We have a tendency to post a lot of nonsense here on ScubaBoard such that sorting through matters to find reliable answers can be distracting and toilsome.

Are you enjoying your Argonaut DS?

Seems as though she's busy with things, this is a forum mate not messages

Is there any way I can push the ignore button on myself?

Hello! I’m also another beginner technical diver (IANTD Advanced Nitrox) in the Ft. Lauderdale area who is looking to meet new dive buddies too! If you are up for a dive one of these days, let’s go diving!

Also does anyone know if there’s a technical diving club down here? Or has it been mostly friends of friends going on charters? I’ve searched across ScubaBoard, but have not come across any success in finding my answer :(

Hydrotherapy is not a club but a charter operation in PB that focuses on technical dives.

@LandonL is the owner and was mine and @VsubT ‘s Trimix instructor. He has a well-developed network of tech divers across Florida. Chances are you know somebody who knows somebody who knows Landon. Think Kevin Bacon.

The HT just dropped on the Hydro Atlantic today (54m, IIRC) and they hit the other tech wrecks, too.

I was already booked for a recreational dive up in Jupiter otherwise I would’ve been all over it. Hydro was sorta played out for me but I haven’t been on it in over a year so I’m ready to get into the guts again.

Pay attention to their website for opportunities.
