Their have been a number of news reports on the flooding in CR, Yes there have been 19 deaths because of the flooding and our hearts go out to there familys. That happened in the central part of the country. In Guanacste where most of the diving is done there has been no dangerous flooding and not much run off into the sea.
My weather station at the dive shop shows 27.03 inches of rain during Oct. but that has seaped into the ground as we only had 9 inches of rain last year so you see we were in a drought. The Tempesque river did go over its banks about 30 mile south of us and did flood that area and homes were evacuated, with no loss of life.
Our weather today is complete sun shine and a temp of 87F flat seas and a light
wind out of the NW.vis is around 30 to 40ft which is not bad.
For those of you that want to check out our weather go to www.imn.ac.cr
this is the official weather for CR.
