Who's housing did you buy? If it is Olympus, then check the box it came in. There should be a flyer for Flood Insurance. You have to insure a few pieces of dive gear, too, though.

Hi Scubamarcp,

I've had my cameras insured by DEPP. I think this link will get you to their website.

A Ian said, if you insure with DEPP, you'll have to insure a few peieces of dive gear as well.
Good luck,

Mike

You hear a lot of people say that you get more coverage under your Homeowner's policy. ( a rider)

But, I decided to stay DEPP because I don't want a relatively small claim to risk my homeowner's policy premium going up. I am not sure it would, but for me better not to mess with it. We can barely get hurricane insurance.

H2O https://www.h2oinsurance.com/ gives you money for your loss, while DEPP replaces your equipmentand does not give you the money directly.

Both good options, I use H2O for what it is worth.

Yes catherine96821, You are right. I do not know the policy of your insurance company, But homeowner claims even unrelated to the actual house can increase your premiums. Some insurance companies also look at your credit, past insurance claims and losses to determine if your are over their risk tolerance level.
I ahve seen your pictures and I am sure you have nice/expensive gear. It is my opinion to cover it totally seperate from homeowners. My knowledge comes from my Insurance industry wife. My gear is insured seperate on her advice/knowledge.
