We have always flown down on Continental, but this trip, Jan 21 - 28 we are flying Delta. Seems Continental is only flying out of Cozumel on Saturdays right now on a 4:45 pm flight. This gets us back to Houston too late for a connecting flight to Little Rock so it would have to be overnight in Houston. Delta is getting us back Saturday night...late, but better than staying over. Continental will probably be resuming their regular flights since we have ours booked now!

Hi Fin,

Actually, CO has virtually resumed to their pre-Wilma normal flight schedule and has daily flights now leaving at 12:15 and on SOME days has two flights, the second being at 4:45 as Diveborg mentioned.

Delta is actually only flying once or twwice a week to Cozumel.

I tried funjet from San Antonio and from Houston and they said "no flights (from anywhere) to Cancun and/or Coz until further notice." This was after trying to book something on the website a few times, then calling them directly. Hmmmm....

Houston-coz was about $250 (I think) from 1/4-1/10 when I booked it. SA was about $125 more.

I have now heard this about Funjet several times on this board. I have a flight from Denver to Cancun on January 12th on United through Funjet. I have called both Funjet and United and they say everything is still a go. I hope they are right!!!

Frontier Airlines recently started a NEW direct flight to Cozumel from Denver - see the story on my website.

Best wishes

Ian
COZUMEL - returning greater than ever!

Great! That will be good business for Cozumel and help get tourists back. Our dates they had only a 4:45 departure flight though which got us back too late to Houston for our connecting flight. That's ok.......we'll be there January 21!!!!!!!! :yl2jump:

Just found out my brother will be in Cozumel this coming week and I have tentative clearance from my wife to make a trip. I am trying to figure out what I can do.

Can any of you give me an update on who is flying in/out of Coz from Texas. I am willing to drive to San Antonio, Austin, IAH, DFW -- wherever I can get the best deal on price and/or schedule. I would prefer to fly directly into CZM but will consider the Cancun/ferry option. The earliest I can leave is Jan 1 though. Return date is very flexible as long as I can be there at least 2-3 nights.

Any current info?

Willie
I have reservations with American airlines from San Antonio in February. San Antonio to Dallas to Cozumel. Kathy

We're doing Austin to Houston to Coz on Continental in Feb. The fare difference wasn't large enough to make it cost effective to drive to Houston .... leave Austin at 7:00 a.m. get into Coz at 11:30 a.m. We have the 12:15 back out of Coz, get into Austin at 4:23 .... not bad .....

Thanks everyone, it looks like for me IAH-CZM on Continental is definitely the best choice.

Willie

We're flying Sun Country out of DFW on 12/31 to Cancun and returning 1/4. Taking the ferry to Cozumel. Checked seating today for Saturday's trip and 2/3's of the seats on the plane are still open!
