Watching tv and a Flex Seal commercial came on. Got me curious, has anyone tried using Flex Seal glue to apply a neck seal to a trilam suit, or for any other repair?

Yeah, that's the commercial I saw.
I sprayed Flex Seal on the inside of my drysuit legs in an attempt to stop small leaks. After two dives the glue began flaking off, leaving me with black flecks all over my undergarment, boat and garage. The leaks didn't stop, but I now had a new problem.

I got a dry suit that had been in training at a dive shop. The suit was perfect except the knee pads which has some wear. I searched the web and could not believe the prices. I got a can of Flex Seal and applied coat after coat with drying between the coats. Works great.

Max . . . Were you able to brush the loose stuff out? Hope you didn't ruin the suit.
Tony, Looks good. I guess it has it has it's uses, just not sprayed on the inside of the suit.

Hi guys, I wear a urethane fabric coated type drysuit with neoprene neck and wrist seals. The boots are a thin rubber that seals with the suit. I dive 4-6 times a day, and have new leaks goin on all the time from zebra mussels in the lake. Flex seal works great for me. It does tend to flake like maxbottomtime mentioned - but I've noticed that it doesn't so bad if you only spray the affected areas.
When finding a leak in my suit, I turn it inside out, fill the wrist and neck seals with water bottles of appropriate size. I cut the bottom out of one of the bottles, and unscrew the cap to fill the suit with water. Screw cap back on, wait and see where the water comes out. (have your suit on a dry surface) Mark with a sharpie/whatever you have on hand, then spray just the affected areas. In smaller controlled areas you won't have a large film of the flexseal that is very thin, and it stops flaking so badly because it doesn't have as much surface to rub against your undergarments when you are underwater and the suit is tightened up.

I just saw an ad for flex-tape. I have some bad seam tape in my pinnacle freedom. I may try the tape.
Not really a good idea. I have had several suits come in for repair that had flex seal attempts at DIY repair. I have had issues getting other adhesives to stick in areas where the flex seal was used. My suggestion is to fix it correctly the first time.
