Greetings
I'm wondering if I am missing something here. I want to fit Miflex hoses to my new regs. The male end of the miflex hose (at the second stage end), does not seem to be long enough to seal in the female end of the regulator. I am told that scubapro has some proprietary hose fittings. Does any one know if this is true. Does any one sell adapters? Any one come across this before?

What model scubapro are you using? I have no problems connecting the miflex hose to my scubapro regs...

I think you may have a hose gender problem. :D

I have no problem with a Myflex hose and an S600. As long as it penetrates enough to seal and is tightened just enough to not come undone, it should be OK.

Not sure what you're talking about. The female end of the hose goes to the 2nd stage, the male end to the 1st. SP regs take standard hose fittings, I use them all the time. The one thing that is different is the swivel o-ring on the SP "high flow" hoses; it's a metric size. But that's only important if you are replacing that o-ring on a SP hose, the ones with the splined fitting.

Speaking of which, if you are removing a SP hose from your reg, you either need to use the SP tool or a pair of pliers with some protective padding to keep from marring the splined fittings.

Hey thanks all for the QUICK replies. I definitly missed something here. I removed the original hose from the G250V and screwed in a Miflex hose till it stopped. There was still about 1/16" in and out motion felt in the hose end (second stage side). I thought that the recess in the Scubapro second stages was deeper that the rest of the industry and therefore not allowing the hose end to seat on the regulator body. I looked at the original hose after reading your replies and low and behold the same amount of play exists. I was thinking the hose end would "seal" much like a brake line fitting does on an automobile. :dork: Thanks again

No problem with a Miflex and A700 second stage.
