Fish ID from Mexico

Anyone have an ID for this fish?

About 60 feet deep in Mexico near the Belize border. And for extra points....

Can you ID the shrimp in his mouth?

its a lantern bass (Serranus baldwini)

Hey AK! Been pretty quiet this last 4 months. At least no hurricanes this year! (probably shouldnt have said that!) Finally starting to see more divers.

Yeah, Lantern Bass is what we came up with when I was looking for an ID, but the color variation is what made me think it wasn't the same.

Good to hear things are picking up for you, we hope to get back soon.
