Do you know which dome you have, you can likely use the 9-18 in the fisheye dome but may need to add an extension ring. There are a number of parameters that you need to consider with a dome. The lens has to be far enough forward to not vignette, next the entrance pupil of the lens needs to be at or close to the centre of curvature of the dome. Next the size of the dome influences the corner sharpness. Google dome port optical theory for more details.
If you let us know what dome you have we might be able to make some recommendations to allow you to use both lenses in the same dome.
The 8mm f3.5 can produce great results, you need to very close. This is the 8mm f3.5 in the ZEN DP-100 (4" ) dome, camera is EM1- MkII, tow INON Z-240 strobes about 700mm apart pulled back behind the dome and pointed out slightly.
