Fish Eye Lens and Flash Link

Received the fish eye lens for my DC1400 today and was wondering if it attaches to the camera with the flash link in place, or if the flash link has to be removed for the fish eye lens to seat properly? If the latter, how do you get an external flash to work without the flash link? Hopefully it just fits over the top of it, but the pictures on the box don't show it in that position.

Flash link stays in place. Just put it on the front with a little pressure. I attach clip to camera carriage. Can take lens off and on during dive. Be sure to burp it when first get in the water if you start with it on.
