That is a very good year. First or otherwise.

Enjoy your new addiction. You are in good company.

Good job. Very similar to my first year.

Congrats. It's great to see new divers so passionate about the sport. 50 dives a year is great, and keep it up. If you're not already, don't discount diving locally too. No matter where you live, there's generally a reasonable body of water to dive in.

Good job! That's the way you get good at this, is by doing it; and the better you get, the more fun you have!

Congratulations! The more dives you do in varying conditions, the better your skills will get. You also start to notice the withdrawal when you have to be dry for more than a week. :-)

Nice, I only managed around 34, but had 4 amazing dives with sand tigers in Aliwal shoal to celebrate my anniversary. Also got to complete my AOW and basic nitrox.

Impressive! My first year (I certified in Sept 2005), I only got about 8 or so dives. Took about a year for my circle of buddies to grow to a point where I could dive just about anytime. Now I average about 150+ dives/ yr. Yes, a lot of them are Open Water teaching dives,.... but I still count them. Hoping to make the big 1K next year!:D

48 dives in one year is quite impressive. keep up the good work.
