First Video with a Sony HD30

Hi,

So I've been shooting video with a Canon SD 600 point and shoot video camera, but this weekend I got a chance to shoot with a Sony HD30, still analog, but a real video camera with a Light and Motion Stingray III housing. I found the housing very limited in it's electronic controls, perhaps I just didn't know how to use them. Anyway it's rated to 300' so that was good.

So here is a short 2 minute video. I'll edit in some other footage from another buddy's camera, but here's what I have so far. I hope you'll find it worth viewing!

that was very nice! I love Calif diving and you did capture it well. Looks like a fun dive area, we have never done Pt. Lobos.

My only criticism is that some of your clips are a bit short with movement a bit fast.. it was hard to focus on the gorgeous reef system, etc. So if you are doing a short clip, make sure it is a stationery shot.. or if it is a traveling shot it is longer clip. Did that make any sense? Otherwise, loved the video and music worked well.

so did you buy the video rig or just trying one out? It's quite addictive!
