Anyone have any suggestions on what a good video camera is to start out with? Guess a rig will cost around $3k with the lights, camera, and housing. Look forward to any suggestions anyone can give.

I can't do MWB but have to do AWB in my editing program. The results are absolutely amazing as almost all the blue disappears. quote]
Have you posted a video we can see? Most I've seen without MWB have lots of blue, so I would like to see how well you have been able to correct yours. Here are links to two videos I edited with Sony Vegas, without any color correction, but I used MWB. First is at the Hilma Hooker (my first video), and the second is in the Bahamas.
YouTube - Hilma Hooker - May 2006
YouTube - Bahamas 2007
I swear by MWB, so I'm interested in what results folks have been obtaining with AWB and correcting in post.
So everyone, please post examples and tell us what you are using for editing. I hear good results are obtainable in post so I expect some examples showing great color.
Thanks

Answer is NO, I haven't posted anything to the web yet. I don't know how as I am still learning these things. My videos to date are 28 min, 34 min, and 44min, standard def, so somewhere between 1.5 and 2+ gigs s they aren't going to fit anywhere. So what do I do? Help me learn.
From what I understand when posting on places like Youtube the quality goes to hell. This can be seen on your videos. Color is pretty decent, but everything looks out of focus and I'm sure your original wasn't like this.
I have some footage of the Hooker. Maybe I'll put something together and post it to give you something to compare to. I don't have any groupers though.
Help me learn.

Vimeo is a terrific site to post HD. I've posted High Quality video to Youtube. While, HQ o Youtube is never really that terrific, there is noticeable difference from normal quality. Also, you get a fair amount of traffic from folks wanting to see video. Plus, you an get all these crazy, snarky comments from viewers!
I have the settings for HQ video on Youtube if you'd like...however they are for Mac.Perhaps there are commonalities in the settings between Mac and your PC?
Cheers,
X
