I dived for a month with Sueno del Mar. Great Folks!

We looked at them and they were one of three on the short list. When we put pen to paper, we could stay at Cocolobo, pay for the diving separately and come out about the same as they charge for the dive/hotel package. Just looking at the photos, Cocolobo looked like a much nicer property and Coconut Tree Divers has a very good reputation at the dive shops in Austin that I do business with.

If I was just looking to stay at the hotel, Sueno del Mar, they had the best value for a room with A/C.

Try Roatan Dive Resort – Pura Vida Resort Hotel, Restaurant and Dive Centre, Roatan, Honduras or Sea Grape Plantation Resort and do the shark dive YouTube - Shark Diving see my other posts ,enjoy your trip ,with luck I'll be on Roatan May 08 .

Pura Vida was #4 on our list. We cut them because because of other info out on the web. That site said that they drop one group of divers off at a site and another group at a different site and then come back to pick up the different groups. They essentially are running a shuttle system between different sites with multiple groups of divers.

I have never been to Roatan and have no expierence with Pura Vida. IF what I have read is correct, that system is ok well over 95% of the time. It 's the accidents that concerns me. I know that there is very little that I can do to help someone in the water and I don't want to wait for a platform so that I can do some meaningful treatment when someone is in trouble.

On the bright side, Pura Vida had the best priced dive packages. For me, I plan for failure, and pray it never happens.
