Three dives off the dock at BDA/Bari Reef today. No current, good vis, plentiful fish. Saw our first Scorpion Fish, finally found the Frog fish about 20' out from the wheel/bouy in front of BDA dock next to some orange coral at 42'. (I was feeling inferior having been asked after every dive, "Did you see the Frog fish?")

And, to top it all off we met Herman et al at Lover's Ice Cream shop on our walk back from Eddy's to the condo at Sand Dollar. Herman and chocolate ice cream…just another day in paradise! :D

Not sure I compair with chocolate ice cream :)
I see you are from NC, what part?
By the way, try Moma Sonyas chicken and get Eddies home made mustard salad dressing....both are very good.

Great news Jim. I have the final bill which I will send soon but we can add you up to the last day....or sneak you in during the week. :)

Make sure that Frog fish sits tight. I've yet to see one and I'll be diving there next week!

BTW Congrats on your sighting!

Thanks, uncfnp! Go Carolina!

Herman, we're from the Asheville area at 3500'. It's all about altitude, you know. It was a pleasure meeting you.

Dinner at Eddy's was good. Loco Shrimp & garlic shrimp with salads and the mustard dressing. Staying at Sand Dollar which was in swerving distance.
La Guernica's tapas was wonderful Tuesday night. Got the Chef's Special which included 3 different types of fish with various sauces. Highly recommended.
Liked Patagonia on Monday.
On previous trips we've enjoyed Wil's, Pasa Bon's lion fish pizza, and the American breakfast at Cafe Mundo is outstanding. So many good restaurants! Not sure where we're dining tonight. What an outstanding day it is!!

Glad you are enjoying yourselves. There were "loads" of frogfish on Bonaire in Jan. Hope the trend continues. Three on Bari, red, pink and black (saw the red and pink). At least four on Something Special, two reds, a gray and a chartreuse (we saw only a red); you might want to ask around about them.

Little bugger was hiding yesterday afternoon...too many visitors I guess. Never did find him.

Herman, you remember the two that Jerry showed a group of us several years ago?

A larger orange, and a small blue guy.

After a few days everyone said the blue fellow had moved on, but I went back, found him and photographed him, just a few inches away from his original location. Those guys can be impossible to spot, even when you know almost exactly where to look. I have never found one on my own, with no previous guidance from another diver on where to look.
