I had my intro dive a couple of weeks ago. Today I had my first lesson. I am taking individual lessons and am really glad that I am not in a class. I like having the one on one instruction and attention. I am learning at a rock quarry , not a pool and am thrilled but exhausted tonight. My into dive was all about fun. Today was all abouat work.I am amazed with myself at some of the things I did. I still can't believe that I took off ALL of m;y gear at 20 feet of water. I did have a couple of times of panic, but was able to handle the situation and still do the right thing. My instructor is all about saftey and learning what to do in emergency situations.........even if they never happen. I am SO thrilled about diving........can't abelieve I waited so long to do this. Going back tomorrow, bet I sleep well tonight , If my not too excited.

It sounds like you're getting soime first class instruction. Doing that work outside of a pool is a great head start. Congratulations and keep having fun.

Welcome Skybird

My wife and I are almost complete with our NAUI Scuba Diver class. We were the only ones in the class so it was one-on-one attention. I joined this board a few weeks ago and have found a lot of helpful advice, allowing me to ask the right questions of my instructor, and allowing us to start buying some of our gear.

Feel welcome to look around and ask any questions.

Welcome to diving and to Scubaboard!

It's nice to read how excited you are about learning to dive the right way, and are not afraid of challenges. If every diver out there had the same attitude, we would hardly have accidents!!!! Keep it up!!!
