Went diving for the first time with my new Apeks Quantum. It worked really well.

I also tried out the PC interface. It worked great as well. Absolutely no glitches. I plugged it in and it worked with no hassle whatsoever.

(I downloaded the software from the Apeks website.)

I highly recommend this package.

PS. I don't work for Apeks or in the diving industry.

Unfortunately, DiveRite hasn't come up with the PC interface yet. (DiveRite Duo is same as Quantum)

Have you tried using a Seiko Computer Download Cable?

It should work with the Cressi-sub Archimedes, Tusa IQ700, Dive Rite Nitek Duo and Apeks Quantum—they are all the same computer made by Seiko. The software is available for download from several sites.

Probably will not work the the Cressi... The archimedes is actually a bit different from the other 3 in that it is not a dual gas computer. I think the download software will be different, although the cable will be the same. At least that's what the guys at cressi told me. I haven't fired up one to try it as I don't have any with dives on them.

I read somewhere that the delay is because Dive Rite is going to use their own software (NiTek Logic, same as what they are already using for their Apeks Pulse equivalent instead of the TUSA/Apeks software that supports the Quantum/Pulse.

Since you can already get the cable from Scubatoys, you can probably use the software from TUSA/Apeks until Dive Rite gets their act together. Since Dive Rite already has the software for their Pulse equivalent, hopefully it won't take them too long to get the software for the Duo.
