Tried out my new drysuit today for the first time. (well, new for me) I bought a used O.S systems pro. First mistake I made was when I submerged and tried to inflate the suit and found out I forgot to attach the inflator :11: . After my instructor/buddy helped me fix that we had a great dive. Except near the end and I found I was underweighted. :) Used the same as I did with my two piece 7mm bare, thinking it was enough. I submerged fine, but at the end at our safety stop with only 50 bar left I couldn't maintain my depth. Fortunately we were still well within the ndl limits so I didn't hurt myself. I signaled to him that i was having a problem. empty wing and empty suit. (as empty as possible) He held me down another minute before we surfaced.
Then we had a looonng surface swim to the dock. Being new at this I played a little bit with the exhaust valve, turning it from automatic all the way closed so I could inflate the suit for warmth. Funny, when we got there I found my entire left arm from the valve to inside my dry glove was soaked. :)

I went home and tested the suit and glove with soap bubbles and could not find any leak at all. hmmm. then I thought, could I have opened the valve and let the water in during my swim? Only thing I could think of.

Anyway, love the suit. Don't want to go back to wet. Even though I was wet at teh end.
Oh yes, second small surprise was the biiiggg wet spot on my chest where I let in water expecting air at the beginning of the dive ;)

Maybe this belongs in humor? hehe
