Haven't ya heard of mix & match? it's all the rage in fine diving circles everywhere, ya know....and coral ??? what the heck is THAT ???

One thing is certain, yellow is easier to see from a distance. Although I seriously doubt you wanted an answer to the question.

I won't say anymore because I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt.

Just remember many wonderful and informative conversations happen here given a chance.

I know Matt, I've had a couple. The divers who fly off the handle are the ones I'm looking for right away. Thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt. I'll go with yellow.

ccardvol may not be a troll, but he's got the social skills of one

all he's done in his short life in ScubaBoard is treat others like crap and ask asinine questions

His original question was a good one, one that's been asked and answered in the same manner many times over, however his response was not completely expected. I think he was stressed out and just over reacted. I know I've had days like that!

To be honest I like my Black Jet Fins, awesome fin and I wish it came in some other color.

i don't know ... it's a question that pits PADI v. NAUI v. SSI for a potential slugfest of a thread ... and probably would have ended up there in any other forum

i fear a troll, though not as slick as he thinks he is

now he asks about removing coral ... right ... like any diver who's gone through any OW course doesn't know better ...

and again, he's inviting a name-calling fest that he can feed on

tsk tsk...

Here's one thing I do know, all agencies have their agenda and why they teach the way they do. I believe accidents happen in most cases because of inattention or complacency. I know I had a close call because I'd been there and done that, even had a t shirt. That attitude almost got me, and I know better than many the costs. I do SAR and have seen accidents due to complacency end badly.

It's not about who trained you, it's about how you put that training into daily practice.

Only guilty people act guilty. My original question on this board is a valid question that I'm sure alot of new divers have considered. To be honest, I went through OW with the idea of who can get me certified the cheapest. And as it turns out, Scuba training, as with everything else, you get what you pay for. I want to be the safest, most secure-in-my-training diver I can be.

Now, perhaps you can explain to me, a new diver, and all the new divers that may read that post, how THAT is an asinine question?

yeah yeah...

will you like to know the best way to kill coral so you can implement it?

i think waterproof TNT is your ticket

Andy was most likely referring to this post, the coral bit was a bit overboard if you know what I mean. I see Andy answered you first before me, normal quick posts...

Fin color? Yes, I've seen that asked here before as well and the training you got should have helped there, what colors disappear first? What last?

However relating that training to fin color or wetsuit color choices doesn't always seem related and thus many have asked what's the best color for scuba garb.

Not many have asked about purposely damaging coral, thus the answer and attitudes you've gotten. I've got a CAP meeting to attend, I'll tune back in later to see how this is shaping up.

Keep in mind, scubaboard isn't a tight moderated board, it's give and take and often takes twisty turns through narrow passages.
