After analyzing data from sport, tech, cave, freediving and rebreather accidents, I have concluded that the biggest personal risk in diving is ... SNARKY ATTACKS in social media. Thank you. I'm here all week. :D

Funny, yet true.

There is no risk ... it's a sure thing. Fortunately for old folks like me one of the benefits of reaching that stage of life is that you no longer give much of a sh!t what other people think ...

Agreed. Dive drama is an under-disclosed reality of scuba diving - especially for active divers in small communities.

This sign should be mandatory at all dive shops / dive sites / dive boats:

You need a bigger sign--at least for us old folks. I would probably like it if I could read it.

(Not, but that gets you there)

By far the biggest personal risk I face because of my diving, is that my wife will find the box of receipts for all the equipment I have bought.

He is the mentor of my mentor, so.....my grand mentor?

Shi-gong is the word you're looking for, it means mentor-grand-father. Shi-fu is mentor-father, there's also mentor-mother, mentor-older-brothers and sisters, mentor-uncles and aunts and cousins, as well as mentor(-ed)-little-brothers and sisters: the whole nine yards.
