I started with PADI Scuba Diver in March (on RC Cruise Lines) and had planned to finish my OW after coming back from the cruise. Well, with school (Nursing Student) I just never had the time.

Well...finally I have completed my OW thanks to Deans Dive Center in Fort Myers, Florida! They were VERY accomodating and my instructor (Mason) was awesome!

All this just in time to go diving in the Bahamas next weekend!

We dove off of Pompano Beach...and the highlight for me on the dive was seeing a Green Moray Eel. There was other awesome things to see, but I don't know why, but the eel just made the trip for me.

Congrats!!

GRATZ!! now go blow some bubbles

...Green Moray Eel.

COOL!!!! I've never seen a green moral eel before, and a quick glance in my pocket fish guide didn't reveal one. Only the blue ribbon eel (which I think are cool) and the moray.

My congrats go out to you--I know how it is to try to dive while going to school... gah, if only diving were cheaper...

Take some photos and let us know how the Bahamas turn out. We'll be waiting

Congrats medcop. There are lots of Morays here on the East Coast. I have heard good things about the diving off the SouthWest Coast of Florida, although I have never dove over there.

Enjoy your diving.

From what I have been told.....this time of year you have to go out pretty far (30+ miles) to get good vis. when diving in the Gulf in SW Florida.

Congratulations! I love Sunday nights around here, it brings back memories.

Dive safe and often,
Pete

No kidding. I was watching a guy spearfishing and Lobstering on the Water Channel the other evening, but I didn't realize it was so far off shore.
