I grew up in So Cal, spent a good chunk of summer every year tied up to morning 234 (if memory serve me right) 2 rows behind the Phoenix. I sat on the fly bridge of grandfather's boat (StingWray) watching life in the harbor, listening to the radio. I would see everyone diving the point, I snorkeled it a bunch as a kid, but never was certified.
It has been 15 years since I set foot on the Island, I am living near Tampa Florida now (different world, but equally wonderful). I am headed to SoCal for business. Last year we dove Los Coranados, this year we are headed to Casino Point. Sorry Mom, I have a day open and a Groupon in hand for a 1/2 price trip to the Island on the Flyer. We are diving on Mother's Day at the point!!!! WHOOT!
I spent 15 years watching and wanting to go under the surface at the point, 2 weeks, I get to live the dream! So freaking excited!!!!!
