Be sure and hook up the camera to your software and update your firmware. The battery meter needed some fixing. I've used Duracell 2650mah batteries with success. I'll easily get two dives and fill up a 1G card with them. Some people have gotten better luck out of the CR-V3 rechargeables but I didn't. The batteries didn't last near as long as my AA rechargeables. I would still spring for some lithium batteries (engergizer). Every expensive but worth not opening the camera on 4 dive days.
