Actually, I did get a decent pic of a sunset using my point and shoot 35mm. Not National Geographic quality, but enough to make my friends back home jealous! Red clouds and the "god beams" (as I call them) streaking through..I was pleasantly surprised!

Want to try to scan it...but I got a new computer for xmas...and for some reason, it won't recognize the scanner. The scanning program is loaded, but when I pull it up, it won't let me click the scan button. It is hooked up right (double checked that!) and plugged in..but if I try to reload the scanner CD, it says it preformed an illegal action an shuts down. Ran it on Windows 98 on the last computer, and that is what we have now...any suggestions?

Also...does anybody know why this thread stretches across my whole screen, and I have the use the little bar thing at the bottom to read everything? (I know...techincal terms!! ) The pics are downloading on the board..but double. Any reason? Rooster...I love your pics.. but they are hogging my screen! :)

Thanks for any advice!

Oh, Rooster, BTW...Mark flooded his Nik V..so Santa brought him a Nik III for xmas. Tired of having expensive paperweights laying around the house (to quote Chris)! the Nik III works the same above water, right?

Sorry, the reason the screen was messed up is because of the large photo in my post above. This was a mistake in my posting. I was trying to redo the links since they were to the now dead photopoint site. I just deleted them so everything should go back to normal. I posted new links to the photos.

Hello,

On that flooded nik V are you getting it repaired?

Ed

Thanks Rooster, everything is fine today. Weird, that was the first time it automatically downloaded the pics directly onto the messege board. BTW, do you mind if I download your pic for a wallpaper option?

Ed, actually I think that Nik V ended up in a trash can in Truk. But we do have one or two other flooded paperweights laying around the house...why? you interested??

Hello,

Repair on those units are rather cheap unless it's sat in the corder coroding for ages.
