I'm thinking of taking a Fiji trip the first of December. What would be the water temp? I really don't want to wear anything more than a full 3mm. Also I know that is rainy season but are the rains usually fairly quick and not very disruptive?

Hi
December is a good month being the middle of our summer.
There is indeed an increased chance of rain in the summer but don't let that put you off as it doesn't rain that much at any time. :cool2: The chances of rain also depends a lot on which side of Fiji you are on.

Anyway, to answer your question, the water will be around 81-82 deg F (27-28C) in the top 30ft and only a little cooler deeper.
I live and dive here all year and am quite happy with no suit in the summer, but a 3mm is a good idea. You can always not use it if you find he water warm enough.

Please feel free to mail if you want any more information.

Cheers
Greg
