My family did a Fiji trip several years ago when we still lived in Fla. The flights, especially returning, were absolutely horrendous. But the experience was more than worth the hassle. I've since dove, PNG, Komodo,Lembeh, Sipadan, and Fiji is, in its way, as good as any of these. The diving is great and the people are wonderful. If this is your first trip to the IndoPacific, you will be blown away. Incidentally, I agree with those who recommend Wananavu and the Bligh Waters. We also dove Taveuni which I found considerably less inspiring. The island itself is beautiful but the diving is mediocre compared to the Bligh Waters. I will return to Fiji but not to Taveuni.

We dived 14 dives in Taveuni with Aqua Trek during our trip. They took great care in avoiding diving the same site twice. It was outstanding, despite the strong currents. Great White Wall and Annie's Bommies are must dives.
