While diving in Beqa Lagoon in Fiji last January I photographed a fish I could not identify. It is the lower of the two fish. The tail is very distinctive. Help!

It is a flagtail grouper. See page 147 divers guide to reef life by Andrea and Antoella Ferrari for another picture.
 
I considered the flagtail grouper but the picture in my guide, Reef Fish Identification of the Tropical Pacific, Gerald Allen et al, showed falcate caudal fin while the ones I saw seemed to have a paddle-shapes fin.
