I am considering a trip to Fiji. The main reason I want to go is to see extraordinary soft coral. From what I can tell, the best of this is at Somosomo Strait, as well as north of Qamea where the Yellow Wall is. Beqa Lagoon also appears impressive. I would like to go on the Fiji Agressor since they seem to run a high class and relatively safe operation, however, I noticed that they usually do not go to these areas. If I went on the Agressor, do you think I would see enough soft coral to be satisfied that I had seen some of the best soft coral in the world or do you think I would still be disappointed that I had not gone to these areas? Are the areas I mentioned truly superior areas? Thanks for your help.

One of the greatest dives trips I had was on the Fiji Aggressor. You will go to dive sites that no other operation visits. The crew was fantastic and the meals wonderful. There was no lack of soft coral, anthias, sharks on this trip. The most exciting dive was with several giant mantas that just 'hung out' with us for the longest time. It was a great experience.

I think any of the liveaboards in Fiji will give you access to more soft coral than you can imagine. I was on the Naia, and the crew, boat, and diving were all fantastic. We had days and days of nothing but soft coral covered bomies, it was jaw droppingly amazing.

No liveaboard (Naia, Aggressor, Tui Tai) in Fiji will take you only where noone else goes - they may take you to a couple of a sites that are seldom visited but ultimately they will all give you more soft coral than you can shake your proverbial ****ty stick at. Do it, you'll love it.
