I just don't log dives
Looking to take my wife off the OCDiveboat probably next month. She's not does any boat, but we beat the heck out of the quarries, Millmuck, Rappahanock, Dutch, so deep cold low viz are understood. She's got 30+dives now, maybe 40 by next month.

I've not been off Capt Js boat either, but saw them down off OBX this month doing the same dives we were, and Capt Dave had good things to say about them.

Just wondering what the Shoals dive is like, current viz, good to know things etc. Not expecting much dive wise - baby steps you know.

Thanks for any info.

It is like most ocean dives off MD/DE - it can be great on a rare good day, but usually has poor vis and current. The only difference is that it is shallow.

Haven't done Fenwick Shoals, but for north of Hatteras - get good with a reel, and look out for distinct thermoclines (always wear a hood, even if it is 70+ on the surface).
