I am sure this has been covered before on this board, but for some reason i can't find it even doing a search on it. Anyways if somebody has a link please post it.

When I was younger I use to be heavy into weights and sports, and developed some rather large leg muscles, which leads to my problem, I have a tendency when being neutral to have my body rotate into an upright position, there has to be a simple solution to this. so if someone has one could you please let me know or atleast point me in the right direction,

Oh yeah I have a bp/w and wear about 26lbs of lead including steel bp & steel tank to keep me down with a 7mil wetsuit. Wear about 16lb on belt.

Thanks

steve

Move a couple of pounds to your shoulders.

I have seen divers with workout weights on their ankles. Is it possible to wear them on your upper arms???? Just a thought!!!

Lake Mead Tony:
I have never used them but I have seen divers wearing workout weights on their ankles.

How is that going to prevent your feet from sinking?

i think you look at a fairly normal prob. at least i can attest it is the same for me usually and pretty much everybody i know in a wetsuit. i am sure if you push the issue enough some company will come along to introduce inflateable ankle cuffs you can control with another extra valve from you bcd / tank!
while you can offset alot to proper weighting and equipment setup, i would say your only chance on that is a well prepaired leg amputation after careful consideration of your gear setup and weight distribution. (i have cheap webbed gloves to sell at the moment :))

Or what about mounting the removable weight pouches used on a weight belt afixed to your BCD straps around the shoulder area??

Well its obvious!!!! You don't have enough crap attached to your harness!! And you call yourself a diver? :D :D Shift your weight forward on your harness/BP and that should help keep you in a horizontal position. I see it all the time.

The ankle weight thing was brought up to describe the opposite of your problem and how to fix it. SO if the answer to your feet floating is to move weight to them then if your feet are sinking then the logical answer would be to move weight away from your feet.
