two weeks ago I was invited to go to a rock concert so I went. I got pretty much trashed and was pretty close to the stage...I was sorta head banging (i know that sounds crazy, but i was blitzed)...After the concert my right ear (the ear facing the stage) sounded as if a firecracker exploded next to it...The next morning it felt the same way...

A day or so went by and then it just sounded like a ringing sound...and it finally went away (last freaking time I go to a concert with out any ear plugs arghhhh)(but haven't really been to so many concerts at all)

a week later, (last Sunday) I went scuba diving in Florida...(devil's den)

during the dive, we were only like 15-20 feet down, and it was a little dark, and for a few moments i felt disoriented...as if I had a few beers...

I didn't do the second dive...

since then, I have had little headaches on my right side, near my temple and today it feels as if it is behind my eye...if i press lightly on my right temple, it hurts...

but my main concern isn't really the headaches, it's just i feel so light headed...

in the mornings, i feel perfect, but as the day goes on, i feel like i have taken a xanax or something...

my mom tells me it's just stress and because i've been running around so much (i've been driving EVERYWHERE 3 hours this way, 3 hours that way, etc etc etc for the past week)

does this sound like anything I should be really worried about?

reading stuff online about tumors will certainly freak you out...

my mom is an RN so I literally have to be on my death bed to go to the doc...she tells me i'll be fine...

thanks

Jack

I would contact a dive doc...
Sounds to me like you could have some ear trauma that needs to be looked at.

BTW, did you abort the dive when you felt disoriented?

no I didn't

I wasn't sure if I felt disoriented from using my new mask or because I didn't have a dive light or what...

Which could perfectly well be the reason.
Could also be that the diving does infact have absolutely nothing to do with your condition at all, but id still have it checked..

Definitely recommend having it checked... sound related ear damage can definitely present with similar symptoms to what you are experiencing (sounds like dizziness and disorientation)
- your PCP should be fine to start, as it is not a diving related injury, just one that impacts your diving.
