Hi there,

Anybody have any information on what would make a first stage whistle on this set up? We've had it in for service several times including the recall but have an intermittant whistle since we purchased it and its starting to drive my wife a little batty.

Does it have the DVT? I seem to recall hearing that the DVT can make a bit of a whistle from time to time.

It does have the DVT. Is there something we should be doing care wise that can make it go away? Mine is the same unit but has no problems whatever.

Are you talking about a metallic high pitched noise when you are inhaling?
Mine DOES make that sound when I am sucking air slowly...

Is it not normal?

Same noise on both mine and my wife's.
Even after 2 rebuilds, no change.

Have dove this reg from 80 degrees and tropics down to 130 feet at 36 degrees. Never had any issues in over 150 dives.

My wife and I both noticed ours do this ever so slightly. Typically it goes away. I figured it due to the fact we were using HP tanks.
