Not to pick nits or anything, but he's Matisyahu (you've got to hear the name as Hebrew; you heard it as English).

That's great. I've been a long time fan of Matisyahu and didn't even realize what he meant. Actually, I thought Modest Yahoo was some new band trying to benefit from having a name similar to another great band- Modest Mouse.

Sorry dude, don't mean to kick you while your down but 311, has always had a "reggae sound". It's actually called ska. Check out Six on their Grassroots album... their first. BTW... Matisyahu and 311 are touring together this summer.

I'll second your choice for any Jack Johnson, Marley and The Bends album and add any Radiohead will do.
