Just got back from Cozumel and discovered a fantastic Cuban bar/restaurant on 5th Ave just one block south and east of the main square. The name is El Casino (LA CASA del MOJITO). Meals avg about $7 and are enough to split. Owner and Patrons are all friendly and the owner makes the best Mojitos ever! We had about 5 meals there in 7 days and all were great!

We loved every meal we ate at the in house restaurant at the Blue Angel! Great daily specials, amazing chile relleno, and sweet people. The view can't be beat so if you need a great dive op, a killer hotel, and some really wonderful food on a partial inclusive plan (breakfast, lunch on dive days, and one dinner plus a beer or soda with every meal), it's really hard to beat the BA!!!!

We had a good meal at La Mission, and always have to eat at Erensto's Fajitas - killer food, and a great view! (down by Papa Hogs & the Atlantis Sub).

After a week of mexican food, we ate our last meal at Rolandi's and really enjoyed it - I thought the food was really good, the waterside location was great, and the service was awesome (could have been the entire pitcher of sangria I drank myself) - I don't know if it's a chain (vs a hole in the wall type thing) or if others have had any bad experiences there but we really enjoyed it!

So much great food in Coz that I can't wait to go back and try some more!!!

Also, we did a cenote trip with Mexico Blue Dream where they took us for a post dive meal at this two walled place in the jungle on the side of the highway near Dos Ojos that was AMAZING!! Don't be afraid of the quirky or sketchy looking - find the taxi drivers and the locals!!

Zachariah plate... ummmmm ... <drool>...

Alright Gun, whats the word on this Zachariah plate? I hear it mentioned before but didn't get the skinny on it. Is it REALLYworth giving up my mole enchiladas there? REALLY?

I would have to agree with others on this .... Mission on 30th is one of my favorites and besides the Diving is one of the main reasons we go back so often

Our favorite is Kinta. Great fresh food. Kris is a great host. Try the Porky Posado!

Also one of my favorite dishes at one of my favorite restaurants.

La hach across from villablanca. Shrimp tacos are full and tasty. Alex, the owner is also a good man to talk with. If you feal adventurous, fish tacos out of the back of a blue chevy pick up 1.00 each. Head south to cruise ships, left at light heaven awaits a short walk down.

I am in Cozumel right now. Parilla Mission on 30th Ave is great. $4 for tacos and a taco bar full of rice, beans, potatoes, cactus, mushrooms, onions and other yummy stuff. $4 Margaritas that I think are the best I have had so far. I like the lady who runs this place, she is great. Its clean and just so good.

Chilangos on 30th and Calle 5. $2 for a big tortilla full of whatever you choose. Yummy.

Sorissi (Italian) is on 3rd st near the water... $$$ 33 for a appetizer and main, and two glasses of decent chianti. I like the man who runs this. He is warm, friendly and makes the best best gelato I have ever had. They let you taste any flavour. Nice for a special night out. They have porcini, olive, anchovy, or tomato bruchetta, which is tasty and I had home made past stuffed with goat cheese, basil and topped with a zingy tomato spicey sauce.

+1 to all of the above. There's also a great place for tacos across the street and a block south of Parilla Mission called El Pique. Opens at 7 pm but the best tacos in town IMO. The desserts at Sorissi are fantastic and worth trying even if you eat dinner elsewhere.
