This is Ms txgoose in her happy place. Fossil Diving of Venice, FL. 6/5/2020. Makes me happy because she is happy. And while I like her being happy, this isn't some altruistic trip. I'm happy that she's happy underwater because then we both have a dive buddy which facilitates more diving!

These are from last week in Key Largo. The first pic is of @markmud and his charming wife Cathy at the Spiegel Grove - we had to work for that dive, btw, with 'moderate' current. The second is a banded shrimp that walked out and said "please take my picture" and I obliged; same with the turtle who swam so close by; and the last is a jelly (I think it was injured) that caught my attention during a safety stop (it's the small things). It's so much fun looking at everyone's pics! Thanks!

June 20th trip to the Cassimir. I 've been trying to get to this site for the last three years and the ocean never cooperated. The Cassimir sank in 1942. It was running at full speed (because U-boats were on the prowl) when it collided with the SS Lara. The Cassimir is 43 miles out from Wrightsville Beach, NC

in 116 feet of seawater. We also hit a ledge 35 miles out on the second dive.

Weekend of diving in Panama City Beach Florida. We don't often get conditions like these. 60'+ vis on Saturday. Started deteriorating some on Sunday but there were bait balls EVERYWHERE we dove. Here are a few shots from when I didn't have students and my beginnings of trying to shoot some fluorescent shots during the day.

Pretty exciting to me, completing my Open Water Certification, June 7th 2020.
Blue Water Park, Pelham Alabama.
Just a week short of my 61st birthday !
Can't believe I put it off for so long.

Very nice vis for a training park. Love the new cert and the fish. Welcome to the insanity.
