Anyone else take advantage of the package sale. I will be at FIBR with my two sons from Dec 5-12. Our first trip to Roatan.

I'll be there with my son (he's 30) for a week beginning Dec. 4.

I was at Cocoview last month and kayaked over to FIBR to take a look. (At that point, I'd already booked the week at FIBR....I'm a sucker for a bargain.)

I haven't been diving with my son since we went to Bonaire a couple years ago for our first dive trip after getting certified. Since then, I've been on several trips, but he hasn't gotten wet since. Diving there is pretty easy, so I think it will be a good spot for him to give it another go.

I'll watch for you there.

Ron

My sons are also older - One is 40, the other is 22. We have been diving about three years and are not highly experienced. We have made a couple of trips to the Keys and one to Cozumel, plus our local quarry diving. It's great that we live close as I always have a dive buddy and the wife, who does not dive, doesn't complain about our "family" dive trips.

Our local diving at Dutch Springs is at it's best in Sept and I have six dives this week. They just don't compare with warm salt water dives.

We will just be a day behind you. Looking forward to it.

You guys are going to have a great time! We'll be there Oct. 30th through Nov. 7th. I'll be sure to post a trip report when we get back :D

I am particularly interested in the shore diving. I have found that I enjoy my photography when I can take my time, this seems to work best on shore dives. Both of my sons like to scour the area for interesting things to see. They make great dive buddies, because I can work with they camera while they spot for me.

Are there night shore diving opportunities?

The night dive opportunities are endless! You can make arrangements at the dive shop and they can run you over to the gazebo in the dive skiff. Or if you want to dive after hours, they will leave tanks at the gazebo for you and you can bring your dive gear with you. Since you enjoy photography so much, you should try both night dives and early morning shore dives - you'll have lots of fun!
