I was asked to teach Tony Blair once, but I just couldnt do it

I was sitting there imagining myself saying "so Mr Blair remember to never hold your breath and I have some comments regarding your foreign policy before I take you into this potentially life threatening environment"

I palmed it off on an Argentinian guy that told the Hon Member he was Uruguayan in order not to offend him.

Hey,

Anyone out there have any stories about teaching / diving with celebrities?

Anyone who taught a celebrity to dive would be an ethical slug if they went posting stories about it.

Some thoughts on the whole relationship with celebrities:

Just because you like the movies/music someone makes doesn't make their personal life any of your business.
They provide a service (entertainment) for which you pay a fee (the ticket price.) It's a simple business transaction.
You wouldn't go cyber-stalking for information on the personal life of your dry cleaner, would you? The same reasons apply to somebody whose album or movie you buy.

Just because you're pleased with your haircut is not a reason to ask the barber who you should vote for this November, so why would you listen to someone else on who to vote for just because you like their singing voice or guitar playing?

yikes.. it's a little early for a stalking lecture...the witty reparte above may lighten you up a bit

You aren't interested in famous divers, you're interested in learning about famous people who've dived. There's a difference.

Famous divers - Zale Perry, Stan Waterman, etc.

Famous people who've dived - Sean Connery

One who could be considered in either list is Lloyd Bridges.

Chad Smith from the Chilli peppers and one of his sound crew came diving with the group i DM'd with in Honolulu about 2 weeks before i started working with 'em!

Apparantly he was pretty cool and brought a few of the guys to a strip joint afterwards!!
