:eek:ut: My wife and I are heading to Falling Rock Sat 30 th. Will anyone be there to fill air needs.

I think the best you can hope for is someone with a slow portable compressor. You would be better off taking all the air you will need with you.

I'm the man with the slow A** portable compressor and I won't be there. Sorry. Sometimes I just take about 20 or 30 tanks over to Louisville Dive Center. It's only about a 30-35 minutes drive and they can fill all of them up in under 30 minutes. You can buy an air card for about 30 bucks I think. It could be 40 now. Sometimes it's just worth it over my little compressor. It's SUPERLOUD TOO.

LDC is located at the corner of I-65 and The Watterson Expressway. Just off a little road that's off of Preston Highway across from the airport. Good luck. They close at 5 O'clock sharp. I think they are leaving black marks in the parking lot by 5:01.

I know their location. Just hoping to avoid the trip.

Thanks

I hope no offense was taken about the compressor being slow. I just recalled reading an add for one the other day that said you could refill an AL80 in like an hour or something like that. Are they really that slow?

Shoot no, I didn't take offense to it. The dag gone thing is SLOW as a fat pig. But it only takes about 17 minutes to fill an 80cf tank from 500 psi to 3300 psi. And it's about the slowest compressor on the market at 4.1 cfm.

I work for Louisville Dive Center and if you need air on Saturday just drop us a line before 5 and usually I will stay around a little bit to accomadate you. If you're in the area stop by and hang out for while. We're always willing to shoot the breeze about diving.

Air fills are $4 a pop and air cards with 10 air fills are $30. I might be out at Joe's Saturday night doing a night dive if you're going to be out there let me know. I might be out there Sunday and Monday as well.
