Joe's Quarry is approx 47 degrees on the surface. We spent 20-25 minutes at 33 ft. rigging the pillow to the dive bell. Temperture reading there was 39 degrees. We spent about 3-4 minutes doing some sweeps at 40 ft. Temperture there was 36-37 degrees. Surface water is warming up faster than usual this yr. We completed 1 of the 2 new platforms today. This platform measures 16 ft. by 12 ft. and the top of the platform, rests right in front of the dock, at a depth of 20 ft. The 2nd platform will most likely be at a depth of 25-26 ft.

Viz. was about 20-30 ft. today. Saw several large bass.

A thanks to Beth, A J Shark, ForkliftMan, CTurtle, Allen and Doug who helped and a special thanks to Dusty for helping me with some rigging.

The new underwater drill is awesome toooooooooo.

Looks like we will be spending two weekends in April up at the Quarry for some more construction.

keep my informed on what weekends you are planning on. I should have my wetsuit by then and all the parts to my BC. If i can get off work and you don't mind having a newbie around i wouldn't mind helping.

of "The Dumbest Things I've Ever Done"!!!
Found out that I'm DEFINATELY not a cold water diver.Sucked down way too much Nitrox in a short period of time, took FOREVER to get the feeling back in my fingers & can't stand the feeling of that full hood! But on the flip side, the new 7 mil was great (okay...except for trying to take the dang thing off), the vis was the best that I've seen at Joe's & the company was great..
Counting down the days til the Florida trip!

CTurtle once bubbled...

Found out that I'm DEFINATELY not a cold water diver.

I have to agree with you...cold water diving sucks! It took forever to get my toes warmed back up! Plus I hate wearing a hood...I can't move my head with the darn thing on, it makes my mask leak, and I start feeling like a part of the male genitalia after a while

But it was so nice to be back in the water!!! We had a great time...lots of laughs!

I might be able to be talked into that...however, I do have weekends planned for stuff in April, and I'm looking at buying a house soon, so who knows....
