After much recommendation from Denney Divers in the UK, I've just bought one of these lights. Chris at Denney has sent it to me, allowing me to try it for a few days before making a final decision. The problem is that I can obviously only test it on dry land if I want to return it, and I don't know what to make of it. It's nice and compact, doesn't weigh too much, and the promised burn time of eight hours from 4 AA batteries is fantastic. But it's difficult to judge the quality of the light just standing in my back garden. It seems fairly bright, but without a really defined central spot, and using it beside my friends UK Light Cannon it doesn't fair too well. I know most people have little or nothing good to say about LED's in general, but this promised to be setting a new standard.
If anyone has used one of these lights to dive with, I would really value your opinion on it, as I need to make a decision. Thanks,
David.
