In Canon's underwater digital guide, they show external lens for thier underwater housings. The picture shows the dc400 I think and I have the dc600. I figure if they make for one they probably make for all. Does anyone know where I can find them? I have searched online but no luck. I have emailed canon but no response yet. Thanks

According to SeaOptics's website in Australia, you can use the Inon lenses with the Canon housings.

http://www.seaoptic.com/products/digital/Inonlenses.html

They suggest that with a lens mount, some of these Inon lenses can be used, but they are the only people I can find that claim this. Would be interested to find out if you hear anything.

My other concern is that my strobe tray uses the same connection point as the lens mount. Does anyone know if there is a way to connect both the stobe try and the lens mount to the base of the housing ??

Got email back from canon that says there are no external lenses that will fit on thier underwater housings. Oh well.

Monkeyfish,

Sea & sea used to produce the bayonet attachment that fits the lens port of the WPC-300/100/200 for the Canon S30 but it was apparently discontinued.

With this attachment, you can fit the Sea & Sea wide angle lens and macro lens too.

However I have heard that it has since been continued under a different product number. Try emailing Sea & Sea to check on the status of the same!

If not, Inon is the only other option you have currently.

Unfortunately for us Canon camera users, Canon does not seem to bother producing the accessories unlike Sony or Olympus. :( ;-0

Just my 0.02 cents worth.

Gno:)
