I just recieved a used LP steel tank that has been hydro'd and visual'ed about 3 months ago.
There are some exterior rusts spots on it, alot of small spots actually.
My LDS won't fill the tank because of it and said I should scrape all the paint off and repaint. They also said I could harm the integrity of the metal with chemical strippers (I aint buying that).
The dive shop another 15 miles down the road said they were nuts and showed me some of their steels that had more rust than mine.
What's the easiest way to correct this?
I was thinking Naval Jelly then a re-paint or Jasco then Naval Jelly
and a repaint.
I'd kinda like to keep the visual sticker on it.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
