Hello All;

By the question you will see that I am a newbie. I live in Miami and I am already thinking about the winter here and the kind of exposure suit to get, Dry suit, 7 mm neoprene or less? In summer I use a 3 mm suit and I am perfectly comfortable. What are the most reputable brands that I should look into?

Maybe the drysuit sounds extreme but I travel a lot and I could use it in colder places????:confused:

Thanks

I dive alot in South Florida in the winter and I do fine with a 5mm Henderson Wetsuit with an additional hood. But thats just me.

I'm comfortable year round in a 3/2 for diving in So. Florida. But, YMMV depending on how deep you go and how long you stay down. You may want to try adding just a vest to your suit if you get cold.

I dove in the Keys mid december of last year and the pool water in the hotel was colder than the ocean, then again I wasn't wearing a wetsuit in the pool! =)

Do you get cold during the summer after a while? If you don't you may not even need to change anything unless you dive during the one day of the year we hit 60 degrees! LOL

Also make sure the suit you do have fits properly.

Thank you all...I was way off with my estimations...!..What brand of wetsuit do you recommend. I am looking for good quality.

Fit is more important than brand IMHO... get the one that fits the best!
Bare, O'Neill, Henderson are all good brands.
