Hello!

I am going to visit some NC wrecks in June and was wondering what suit to bring. I take it water temps are in the seventies, so I'm inclined to bring a 5mm. What do people there use at that time of year?

3mm full is the most common suit that time of year. I would expect high 70's to maybe 80 offshore.

Did a couple of days in early June last year, was more than comfortable in 3mm full suit with 3mm hooded vest.

This weekend on the other hand I'll be 5/6/7 or dry, depending on air temps.

For June, a 3mm is ideal.

Jamie...bottom temp should be around 70 this weekend. If you have a 5mm, that would be perfect combined with a hood, but you know that already...lol. I actually dove a 3mm with a 5mm hooded vest a couple of weekends ago and was fine. You'll likely burn up in a drysuit.

Thanks Nema, was more concerned by air temps than water temps. My Drysuit is 4mm Neoprene, so with nothing underneath, it would probably be fine. Last year I froze between dives, although it looks like this year the weather is warmer. Probably will do my 5/6/7. Looking forward to it.
